Second installment in the SEVEN BY SEVEN area.
This summer too, people will gather to make SEVEN BY SEVEN their own with their own unique style.
They're all somewhat strange, yet somehow sophisticated. Let me introduce five wonderful people.
Ichiro Sakuragi

Designer Kawakami has been a great mentor to me since I was still an assistant.
Sakuragi, who is well acquainted with the 90s street scene, opened a new select shop in February near the Gohonki intersection in Gakugei University. Kawakami also frequently visits the shop and they exchange information.
"Kawakami-kun's ideas are always interesting. This coverall is actually made from leather, and it has a sophisticated feel with a street feel. That kind of balance is great."
The bottoms he paired with the jacket were vintage 501XX pants he found at a thrift shop.

Nozomi Yagi

Nozomi Yagi is the manager of the Seven by Seven Isetan Shinjuku store.
On this day, I wore a rayon gingham check shirt and silk wool trousers. The inner tank top was also from Seven by Seven.
"On sunny days, I feel like I can avoid the heat by wearing this shirt. It's a really useful item for this time of year." He also said that Seven by Seven's clothes are "the closest to my true self."
"There are many items that look good on women, so I'd love for you to try them out."

Mr. Yukimitsu Kato

Mr. Kato, who has been contracted to produce Seven by Seven's knitwear and cut-and-sew items for many years, is one of Kawakami's best friends.
"Working with Mr. Kawakami is full of challenges (laughs). But that's what makes it fun. If you have too much fun, you'll never be able to make something good.
I've been making things for 47 years now, and that's definitely true."
On this day, she wore a pique linen knit cardigan and thick trousers. It was a confident look for a grown-up.

Sawa Hiraizumi

Hiraizumi is a freelance overseas sales agent who has been closely associated with the brand since meeting him through MYTHINKS designer Nobu Yoshimitsu.
"I think Seven by Seven is definitely a brand that can compete overseas. I don't know how to describe it, but it's very sophisticated. It has a unique quality with a vintage feel."
The cotton silk shirt is paired with a cashmere tank top. The contrast between the materials is wonderful.

Shigeo Matsuyama

Mr. Matsuyama, who is active as a commercial director, is a childhood friend of the designer Kawakami. They met again when the brand was launched, and are now deepening their friendship once again.
"I think the appeal of the clothes he makes is the materials. They're very casual, but I get the impression that most of the clothes are suitable for adults to wear. They're quite expensive, but I think many of them are worth getting."
A soft stretch open-neck shirt and relaxed trousers. A creative adult holiday style.
