It was born in the 1990s as the world's first yarn to incorporate the concepts of recycling and vintage. Raffi reuses cotton that is scraped off during the process of manufacturing yarn, known as "false cotton." False cotton contains many short fibers, which naturally creates unevenness in the yarn. This natural unevenness creates a vintage feel and comfortable fit. The top gray is overdyed with beige and pink to create a unique melange color. Although it has a plain design, the side seams are shifted toward the back to create a three-dimensional silhouette.
