2000年代に某有名アウトドアブランドが、米軍の特殊部隊に向けて開発したレイヤリングシステムの軍用ウェアシリーズ”MARS”。
そのシリーズの中から、Level4と呼ばれるレイヤーのウィンドシャツを模して、ブランドのシルエットに落とし込んで作製したアイテム。

ムートンでも有名なトルコ産の羊革は、丈夫で柔らかいのが特徴です。
産地特有の素材特性を活かして、0.3㎜という極限の薄さまで革を漉くことで、ナイロンライクな表情の革に仕上げました。また、薄さと表情を活かすために、敢えて、一枚仕立てで作製することで裏面が見える仕様に仕上げており、裏側から見える袋布もパンチングレザーを使用することで、メッシュ生地に見立てており、オリジナルに対して最大限のリスペクトを込めたデザインに仕上げています。

本来、ウィンドシャツに求める役割でもある通気性や速乾性の機能には到底及ばないながらも、ファッション性に特化した ブランドらしいアプローチによって、遊び心が感じられる”ナイロン風”のレザーウィンドシャツです。
