2000年代に某有名アウトドアブランドが、米軍の特殊部隊に向けて開発したレイヤリングシステムの軍用ウェアシリーズ”MARS”。
そのシリーズの中から、Level5と呼ばれるレイヤーのオーバーパンツを模して、ブランドのシルエットに落とし込んで作製したアイテム。

ムートンでも有名なトルコ産の羊革は、丈夫で柔らかいのが特徴です。
産地特有の素材特性を活かして、0.3㎜という極限の薄さまで革を漉くことで、ナイロンライクな表情の革に仕上げました。また、薄さと表情を活かすために、敢えて、一枚仕立てで作製しています。
さらに、アウトドア仕様の附属各種も、特徴的な素材感のレザーを際立たせるポイントのひとつとなっており、オリジナルに対して最大限のリスペクトを込めたデザインに拍車をかけています。

本来、オーバーパンツに求める役割でもある防風性や撥水性の機能には到底及ばないながらも、ファッション性に特化した ブランドらしいアプローチの遊び心が感じられる”ナイロン風”のレザーで作製したミリタリーディテールのパンツです。
