A Madras check pattern zip-up blouson made from Indian khadi (hand-spun, hand-woven fabric).
The fabric is carefully hand-woven with a vibrant mix of multi-colored threads, and not a single piece has the same color, making it a completely unique piece. Khadi has been an industry for a long time. The texture is overwhelming because it is made in India, the home of Khadi, and even the warp threads change color in parts, giving it a unique look.
Another design feature of this item is the use of a lining that makes use of the fabric's unique transparency. Only about 10 meters of this fabric can be produced per day. The one-of-a-kind color, unique firmness, and transparency that were born from the time and effort put into it are the backbone of the material's design, and while it has casual details, it still has a certain sexiness to it.
This stand-collar zip-up jacket is distinctively lightweight and can be worn comfortably even during warm weather.

Designer Kawakami came across the multi-coloured Madras check by chance while visiting India to get inspiration for the collection. The secret to the irregular and varied pattern is that it uses leftover threads from a factory. The new Madras check is created by collecting the leftover threads and randomly weaving them. The fabric is thin and has just the right amount of stiffness, making it delicate and light. This spring Madras is perfect for wearing as if you are wearing a layer of air between your body and your clothes.
