Kadichek uses many colors. The fabric is carefully hand-woven with a vibrant mix of multi-colored threads, and not a single piece has the same color, making it a completely unique piece. Because it is hand-woven with many colors, only about 20 meters of the material can be woven per day. The colors are assorted because the weaver weaves according to their senses, rather than designing and weaving. ≪About MADRAS CHECK≫
Designer Kawakami came across the multi-coloured Madras check by chance while visiting India to get inspiration for the collection. The secret to the irregular and varied pattern is that it uses leftover threads from a factory. The new Madras check is created by collecting the leftover threads and randomly weaving them. The fabric is thin and has just the right amount of stiffness, making it delicate and light. This spring Madras is perfect for wearing as if you are wearing a layer of air between your body and your clothes.
